Huon Hooke, 95 Pts: "Deep colour and aromas of fresh-turned earth, plum, spices and overtones of graphite and ironstone. The wine is intense and focused, taut and precise on the tongue. Lovely wine of real concentration and focus, drive and elegance, the stony mineral theme running throughout. A ripping shiraz, great to drink now and has a bright future. Drink: 2022–2034."

Adam's Notes
A warm and dry growing season and severe wind during flowering led to lower than normal fruit set. The Pyrenees shiraz grapes were complex and intense. I decided to include some whole bunches during fermentation to enhance the depth of this wine. Fruit from the Pyrenees is generally richer than the Grampians. This wine should be decanted if enjoyed young. I recommend laying it down for five of more years. Great with steak or duck.
