"Beautiful nose of blackberries and hints of red licorice, cloves and sweet spices. Palate is complex with a medium body. Boasts beautiful notes of ripe blackberries and blackcurrant, followed by sweet tobacco and cloves. The acid is balanced perfectly with a silky tannin structure and long finish that goes forever. Another cracker from Adam at SubRosa." Ben Rothstein, Sommelier.

Peking duck, char-grilled and roasted meats, particularly low and slow barbecue. We like it with slow-cooked pork shoulder in the oven with a smokey rub.
Adam's Winemaking Notes
When I found out my friend of 25 years was growing Mourvèdre in Bendigo, I was intrigued. 2022 was a low-cropping year and I knew the Mourvèdre grapes from the banks of the Campaspe River in Bendigo would produce a wine with richness and depth. I'm excited to see how it will evolve over the next 10-12 years.
Nancy's Wine Pairing Notes
When I taste our Mourvèdre words like elegant and round come to mind. It's rich without being overpowering. The tannins beautifully align with a juicy steak or a smoky BBQ meat dish. As Adam says, you can't go wrong with red wine and red meat.
Like to know what I pair this with? I'm going to give you 10 ideas in my guide to Mourvèdre wine pairing. Enjoy!
